The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, in his Mann Ki Baat address had given a clarion call to citizens to join hands for water conservation and create a Jan-andolan along the lines of the Swachh Bharat Mission, to save water and secure the future.
We, Antony Charitable Trust are already doing our bit for this great movement and further lined up with mega projects to save water and secure future.
Project “SAVE WATER BHARAT”
focus on Five Aspects:
Water Conservation and Rainwater Harvesting,
Renovation of Traditional and other Water Bodies,
Reuse of Water and Recharging of Structures,
Watershed Development &
Intensive Afforestation.
We do conduct several Cycle Rallies and propagate the need of saving water and ways of implementing the projects across India.
In Association with several NGO’s & institutions, we carry on the projects to reach it’s objectives. One among them is “TOUR DE LIONS” – The Cycle Rally was conducted in Seven States ( Tamil Nadu,Gujarat, Rajastan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Assam). It was a 3200 Kms. Cycle Rally created awareness on Save Water across Six States from Gujarat to Assam. Many such rallies also conducted across Tamil Nadu.
The first Cycle rally was inaugurated by Mr.Arun C.Bharat IRS,- Principal Commissioner of Income Tax Department. D.G.P. Mr. Sylendra Babu IPS, Dr.AVK.Mohan- Major General of Indian Army and many other eminent people were part of the Event. Central and State Govt. recognised, supported and appreciated the Event.
